For this weeks' episode of Mental Wellbeing Wednesday, Abi Phillips met with Nic Dove ahead of the launch of her first book which is taking place at One Tree Books on 7th November. Little Bird and the sky that got Bigger is a children’s story around understanding grief and the complexities of those emotions. Nic was very open about her own experience of grief after losing her parents and how her journey inspired her to start an online community for bereaved people to share and support each other. After some training, she eventually went on to open a private counselling practice in Rake and that has led her to write Little Bird. The book has been illustrated by local artist Freya Thompson. Both Nic and Freya are excited to meet lots of friendly faces at the launch!
