When you hear ‘Quantum Computing’, what most likely comes to mind is a huge and imposing golden chandelier dangling from some incredibly clean laboratory. Inside this chandelier, the monstrous quantum computer churns away at calculations beyond the observers wildest dreams. But is this really always the case? In fact, quantum computers can take form in many other unexpected areas, from finance to gaming to the weather forecast. Today we take a look at some applications of quantum computing that you might not have been familiar with.
