As a mother of young children,our family found Nicholas and the Fruit Surprise to be a real treat to read. Nicholas is a charming little boy who is a fussy eater. The book describes how Nicholas came to learn how not to be quite so picky -- once he tried new things he found out he liked them.
Nicholas reminds me of one of my own children. A cute, well-written book that my kids really enjoyed.
A must have
Nicholas and the Fruit Surprise is a must have for any child's book collection. My son loves it. The story is great and the illustrations are adorable (very colorful and grabs your attention). It will make you want to make a fruit surprise of your own. I bought a few and have given them out as gifts. (My son even donated a copy to his school library).
Wonderful Surpise!!!
So well written for young children learning about colors and fruits they may have never heard of or even tried. I love watching my 8 year old nephew read to my 4 year old nephew. Nicholas is just an adorable character!!! Hope to read more stories about him!!!
Wonderful book!
This is a darling book! I bought it for my 5 year old daughter and she has had me read it to her over and over again! It really encourages healthy eating, but the illustrations are so bright and colorful and the story is so cleverly written, kids won't even notice!! I am buying several more copies and giving them as Christrmas gifts to family's with children of all ages!
