39: Nick Bates & Supporting Men of Color

Nick Bates is the Assistant Director of Student Life at Loyola University Maryland. Nick is a sage human being with a love of appreciating the people around him and imparting knowledge onto his students, friends, and colleagues. And that's exactly what happens in this episode! I learned a lot in this episode - and I definitely do a lot of reflecting in the moment. I'm most thankful that Nick visited me at UMass Boston to have this conversation because it was great to chat in person - so you get to hear the buzz of my campus, which is awesome. We dig into the topics of gender, masculinity, having grace with students as they're learning, receiving and giving compliments, and the importance educating and cultivating the greatness of men of color.
