• The City of Springfield unanimously voted to send the tax increase back to the ballot in April for the convention center.
• The Trump administration is ending temporary protection status (TPS) for Somalia, affecting several thousand Somalis currently living in the U.S. and several hundred currently living in Minnesota under the protection.
• Sarah looked it up... TPS has been around since 1991.
• A Bronx apartment building Mayor Mamdani showcased to highlight the talents of his new housing commissioner, Dina Levy, has racked up nearly 200 unresolved violations.
• Thousands of nurses went on strike on Monday in New York City. Officials at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx have taken things one step further and accused the nurses' union of attempting to protect its members who come to work drunk or stoned. The accusation goes on to accuse the New York State Nurses Association of striking, in part, because union leadership opposes tougher disciplinary action against employees who come to work impaired.
• The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments Tuesday in two cases that could determine whether states can ban transgender athletes (men who "identify" as women) from competing on girls’ and women’s sports teams.
