• Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw lost his bid for a fifth term in the House by a wide margin. Crenshaw lost to Republican Texas State Rep. Steve Toth.
• Texas GOP Sen. John Cornyn and state Attorney General Ken Paxton are headed to a runoff election after neither candidate received over 50% of the vote during Tuesday night's primary for U.S. Senate. The runoff election will take place May 26, 2026.
• A mishap occurred in Dallas County, where Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) resides, when a judge extended voting hours by 2 hours because voters lacked proper information about where to vote.
• Crockett claimed that Republicans cheated her in the primary.
