Hour 2 -
Good Thursday morning! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour:
VP Harris had quite a "word salad "week.
Harris was discussing transportation when she said, "This issue of transportation is fundamentally about just making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go! It's that basic."
Harris also weighed in on culture. "Culture is — it is a reflection of our moment and our time. Right? And present culture is the way we express how we're feeling about the moment, and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment. That is a reflection of joy. Because, you know … it comes in the morning," Harris said with a laugh.
Harris stumbled her way through a discussion about artificial intelligence (AI) with civil rights and consumer protection experts on Wednesday.
“The first part of this issue that should be articulated is AI is kind of a fancy thing. First of all, it’s two letters. It means artificial intelligence. It’s about machine learning. The machine is taught, and part of the issue here is what information is going into the machine, that will then determine — and we can predict then, if we think about what information is going in – what then will be produced, in terms of decisions and opinions that may be made through that process."
