The Kansas City division of the FBI announced on that they will be joining a nationwide hate crime awareness campaign called "Protecting Our Communities Together: Report Hate Crimes." The campaign will be focused in Springfield, St. Joseph, Topeka, and Wichita and will also have a Kansas City Metropolitan area focus.

Jim Jordan did not receive enough votes for the House Speaker role yesterday.

There are reports coming out that House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) is attempting to undermine Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) bid for the Speakership gavel after voting for him on the first ballot.
