Nickname, noun,  a familiar or humorous name given to a person or thing instead of or as well as the real name. 

We've called a lot of people a shedload of names in 2022. Word Wrangling has narrowed down the list  of contenders for 2022's Nickname of the Year to a representative selection of moguls and politicians - the sort of people it's easy to call names.
