John 3:1-17 is where Nicodemus misinterprets Jesus by taking Jesus literally. Jesus says we must be “born from above,” but Nicodemus interprets it as being “born again.” It also contains the world’s most famous Bible verse: John 3:16, one of the most grossly misinterpreted verses in the Bible.
