I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to my mum for everything she does for me and my family on a daily basis, for answering my calls multiple times a day (or an hour on some days). Nicola was a Qantas flight attendant for 34 years. While raising a family, Nicola worked at 34,000 ft traveling the globe – and instilling in her two children the value of working hard, having a sense of curiosity and adventure, and how to have fun and make the most out of life.

Gabriella is a News Anchor and Reporter at Sky News Australia.

What Gabriella admires most about her mum, is her fearless confidence and positive approach to life. Nicola admires Gabriella’s drive, compassion, and ability to connect with everyone she meets. Nicola and Gabriella have always valued the bond that they share. They’ve been through all the highs and lows of life together. They may occasionally fight about sharing clothes – but deep down they know how lucky they are.
