Nicolette is the 6th female president of the institute. She’s a qualified actuary, is passionate about the policy work the actuaries do, including super & is an advocate for gender diversity in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field.
Nicolette is also on the board of UniSuper, OnePath Insurance, Class Limited, CBHS Health Fund and SuperEd. She was a director of ASFA for eight years. She has held three General Manager roles at CBA/ Colonial First State spanning 14 years, and has held senior positions at BT Funds Management and Towers Perrin. She’s a qualified actuary, holds an executive MBA from the AGSM and is a graduate of AICD. She is also the author of the book “Not Guilty”, a guide for career mums. In 2014 she was named one of the top 10 'most powerful part-timers.
She has just finished a piece of research on STEM, girls and careers & warned significant cultural factors drive Australian girls away from higher level science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects, fuelling inequalities that result in a lack of labour market diversity.
