America’s Next Top Model judge and fashion photographer Nigel Barker is launching a new campaign to highlight the need for genders to be removed from jewellery items such as watches. This comes after new analysis revealed that more manufacturers are making smaller watches for men and also a trend for bigger watches for women.
In addition, many watches are now being changed in size to appeal to both genders, prompting calls for watch manufacturers to move to a sizing model of small, medium, large instead of the now outdated model of men’s watches and women’s watches.
The campaign, which is launched by Watchfinder & Co., is the latest to ensure that fashion is made accessible for everyone and that nobody faces any stigma for wanting to purchase items that would suit them better.
Having been a judge on some of the biggest TV fashion shows including America’s Next Top Model (for 17 seasons) and The Face alongside Naomi Campbell, Nigel is wanting to change the way that many people perceive fashion and how fashion is perceived by people in a bid to make it more accessible and for more comfortable for everyone to enjoy – regardless of their gender.
