The Wallabies have named a near full-strength side to take on the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup opener on Saturday night.

The only other victory enjoyed by the Wallabies in the Michael Cheika era came the last time the two sides met in Brisbane last year.

Newstalk ZB rugby editor and commentator Nigel Yalden told Mike Hosking the city was failing to drum up the buzz.

"Sydney is such a massive sporting environment, there are so many other sports like the NRL which gain more interest."
