Nigel Yalden: Bledisode Cup buzz fails to catch on in Japan
The All Blacks take on the Wallabies in Yokohama, Japan this weekend in what should be a thrilling match.
Although the Bledisloe Cup is no longer at stake, it could be a good chance to preview the form of both teams playing in Japanese conditions before the Rugby World Cup Final, which will be played in the country next year.
New Zealand won 38-13 in Sydney and 40-12 in Auckland, and they will be meeting Australia with a few key changes made to both teams.
Radio Sport Rugby editor Nigel Yalden is in Japan for the game and told Mike Hosking the buzz is still not at fever pitch.
“Both of the teams have been welcomed with open arms by the rugby community, but there isn’t much of a buzz around in the general public.”
