An Absorbing Thriller
The author has done it again, writing a well-executed, fast-paced thriller, which is set in New Orleans, where Jack Corbin, a cantankerous ex-cop canât seem to move on with his life and is stuck in a rut after an injury on the job forces him into an early retirement but this all changes when his ex-wife calls seeking his help. The plot is filled with plenty of drama, great dialogue, multi-faceted and authentic characters, descriptive scenes and flashbacks, packed with betrayal, surprises, secrets, and revelations. And as the story moves forward, it will take a turn you will never see coming.
Night Runner is a solid 5!
I have read other works by this author and I was not disappointed by this Short-Story, except after finishing it in a very short time, I craved more.
This Novella grabbed me almost from the beginning. It moved rapidly through the story line with no dull or inappropriate areas. Of course the bad guys lost and good guys won as they should. Author Reads, you hit this story out of the ballpark.
I recommend this Short story and any of the novels from my new favorite writer. You won't be disappointed!!!
No plot and too short
I like this author and I m very hard to impress enough to read most books. This is the first time it was disappointing. No plot development, where is lauren, why is she alive when she was dead and how do u bring down drug cartel connections in a page. Am I missing like five chapters????

Exciting short story
What an amazing story. Relationships that have been torn apart can certainly find how to heal the hurt and bad feelings. This may be fiction but certainly contains good advice as well.
