Mineral Wells received the People's Choice Best Destination for Outdoor Adventures by the 2023 Texas Travel Awards. This was largely due to our beautiful Lake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway. Offering opportunities for fishing, boating, camping, hiking, geo-caching, rock-climbing and horseback riding (including equestrian campsites). The park also provides Ranger programs, including a Kids' Wilderness Survival, cowboy history thru poetry and story-telling, astronomy, bird and wildflower walks and more.
