Nikki Giovanni is an incredible poet in her late 70's who is continuously challenging the current social stratosphere and speaking up for everything she believes in and then some. Her poetry is remarkable, honest, authentic, and a blast to read. The conversations her pieces can begin for people of all walks and opinions have personally been invaluable to my growth as a poet and creator.
