Being the oldest of eight children, Nina wasn’t a stranger to hard work. She worked as a waitress while in high school and landed a job in a court house by the time she graduated. Although she was on her way to a successful career, she didn’t have as much luck with her love life, as her husband was emotionally abusive. But, never wanting to feel sorry for herself, she got a divorced and learned to thrive without him.
