This Christmas Eve, Nine’s Carols by Candlelight are back and bigger than ever.

It will be hosted by Sarah Abo and David Campbell and they will be joined by many guests including ARIA winners and musical theatre favourites.

The night of heart, music and Yuletide tradition will be raising funds for Vision Australia's children services.

David Campbell told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, 'people have their favourites and they have their traditions and they sit down and I forget sometimes that, yes, we say it all the time that people sit down as a family, but they really do.'

'And it really is something that is we have when we're watching it growing up and then we share it with our kids and we go back and some people have Christmas on Christmas Eve and all this stuff,' Campbell said.

'It's just a beautiful tradition.'
