In the final three countdown to our 100th episode, Greg and Kate shoot the breeze while Ryan steps away to hang out with family (Whatever: so selfish of him). Greg interviews veteran Hollywood director Rob Cohen, who co-directed Season 11 of “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return” with show creator Joel Hodgson. The podcast gang discusses the final days of their podcasting intensive in Orlando, Florida, as well as the glorious “Ren and Stimpy”-esque anarchic subversion that are the new Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts. In her segment, “Music! Science! Cats!,” Kate critiques the soundtrack for Season 11 of MST3K, discusses how California pot farms might be threatening certain species of owl, and flips out just a little bit over the world’s smallest wild feline, the Rusty Spotted Cat of Sri Lanka and India. And thanks to a syrupy flight at the Coca Cola Store is Disney Springs, Greg tastes 17 foreign sodas in a lightning round Mega Soda Review. The flavors ranged from amazing (Stoney Tangawizi of Tanzania) to major mouth regret (Beverly Cocktail Bitters of Italy). All this, and a cartoon dog who walks on two legs while holding dominion over another cartoon dog that walks on four, and it’s not George Orwell’s “Animal Farm,” on this episode of the Revival League Podcast!
