The Revival League Podcast proudly presents our original black comedy radio play, “Soylent Scrooge; Or, Christmas Is Made Of People.” England, 1893. The height of the Industrial Revolution. London is prosperous and well-fed. And yet, something sinister is afoot at the Soylent Scrooge Canning Manufactory, famous for feeding all of Great Britain its wildly popular brands of holiday slurry. So when Christmas Eve production grinds to a halt after captain of industry Jacob Marley falls into the whirling knives and gears of Soylent Scrooge, it's up to intrepid Food Inspector Bucket to get to the bottom of things. It's a black-hearted conspiracy that eats away at the very heart and soul of the British Empire ... and all strands of the crooked web lead back to Marley and his business partner, Ebenezer Scrooge! Can Scrooge survive the dogged sleuthing of Bucket, all while being haunted by the ghosts of Christmas? Cannibalism! Canning! Atrocious English Accents! What the Dickens will happen next, in the dastardly world of Soylent Scrooge? Listen and nibble act by act, or binge listen all at once! So please pop some popcorn, make some hot cocoa, curl up under a warm blanket and gather around the radio to listen to this fiendish holiday feast.
