While giving EA credit for not getting into NFTs, David Radd was playing Marvel's Spider-Man which is a wonder compared to the Amazing Spider-Man games and still doesn't like the way Kid Icarus controls in Ultimate NES Remix.  Meanwhile, Tuesday made a weapon to surpass Metal Gear in  The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and got nervous about getting lost in a spooky building trying to interpret wall signs in Control.   In news, the FTC moves to block the Activision Blizzard merger in U.S. federal court and plenty of details come out including Microsoft claiming they have "lost the console wars".   Separately, head of Xbox Phil Spencer says and Xbox Series Pro isn't needed while the price is raised on the Xbox Series X and Game Pass in several regions.  In other news, Embracer plans to close studios, shed jobs and cancel games while they refocus on their Lord of the Rings ownership and the Los Angeles City Tourism Board dropped casually that E3 2024 and 2025 may not happen in the city at all.  For the topic, David and Tuesday have the last word on a wild and eventful back half of June 2023, which included  a Xbox Games Showcase that mostly carried promise for 2024 and beyond, a surprisingly solid  Ubisoft Forward,  a  Capcom Showcase  that felt a bit unnecessary and finally a Nintendo Direct that had a lot of surprises and showed that the Switch's slate will be full for the rest of the year.
