On February 10, the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District selected Anishinaabe / Michif tattoo artist, illustrator and community educator nipinet landsem as the district’s first-ever artist in residence. 

Why would a sewer district, traditionally focused on pipes and treatment plants, want or need an artist-in-residence, you ask? 

Well, it’s all part of the Sewerage District’s OneWater campaign to educate Madison-area residents about water.  nipinet landsem joins to explain.
