While around 2,500 colleges, institutes, and universities have registered for the event, the organising committee shortlisted only 200 teams to participate in the hackathon.

Several Indian Institute of Technologies (IIT) and other universities from all over India are participating in the hackathon.

The top three teams of the HackVerse will receive a cash prize of INR 75K, INR 60K, and INR 40K, respectively.

Other contests in which students can participate in this hackathon include creating an application program interface (APIs) on blockchain-based technologies.
