Nitzavim: On Repentance

Listen Later

Hi All!

Episode #51 is here. This week we discuss a timely topic: Repentance.

With the Jewish New Year upon us in just a few days, our minds are a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. One of the many things we are thinking about and perhaps actively working on is repenting for all that we may have done wrong during the past year. Repentance as a commandment is beautiful, if somewhat difficult to fulfill.

We often feel a sense of guilt about all of the 'bad' we may have done, and then feel guilty about the guilt and about the repenting, and so on and so on! It's hard!

This week, I want to delve a bit into the benefit of the repentance process and take a moment to zoom in on two things:

  • How close in actuality we are to it
  • How to say 'I'm sorry'
  • Apologizing is a key ingredient to successful/proper repentance.

    Happy Learning!
