NLE Choppa is not the same artist he was when he entered the rap game at the young age of 16. The massive success of his song “Shotta Flow” in 2019 catapulted Choppa into mainstream appeal, and from there the young Memphis rapper kept the momentum by dropping equally energic tracks like “Camalot” that came with an inspired video from none other than Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade.

Now, Choppa has grown in the industry, went on a brief hiatus from rapping to focus more on his health and herbalism, and is back to deliver the high-energy bars that put him in the position he is today. Me vs. Me is exactly what the title implies, a conversation with self and using music as the language. Club-centric tracks like “Shotta Flow 6” are quickly sobered with Choppa’s moments of self-reflection in moments like “Change My Ways,” making Me vs. Me a mix of all the young rapper's innermost thoughts, wishes, and demons.
