Andrea Thomas, third grade teacher at Ojo Amarillo Elementary, describes her experience of growing up on the Navajo Reservation and why that lured her to return and give back to her community. She also discusses looping, teacher evaluation and how to get more Native Americans to join the ranks of the teacher workforce. Andrea is a Teach Plus New Mexico Fellow and has served on the Secretary's Advisory Council.
