Listen Later

-Industry standards.

Things you can do today to elevate your business:

Write down how much it would take you to survive. This is your budget.
If you’ve done the above. Add up all of your expenses and see how much you need to make a month, a quarter, a year. However you want to track it.
How much are you putting into the session?
Then tack on 50% of that. Plus! Don’t forget about taxes! That’s your pricing.
Write up your dream pricing. I know this may seem crazy and there are tons of stuff you have to work through, not just in business, but mentally as far as your self worth. But do it, get comfortable with those numbers. It won’t happen overnight, trust the process.
If you are accepting clients and they’re paying you, but the IRS doesn’t see that you’re “in business”. Do yourself a favor and create a savings account. Start saving for taxes and take them out of what you make, and include whatever retail taxes that are in that too.
Register your business with the state.
