  • She said she can't eat peanuts, so no nuts today in our lunch!

    • none of + noun examples

    • None of the apples looked good at the grocery store.
  • I missed out!! I had none of the pie.
  • None of my friends could go to the party.

    • none (second mention) examples

    • I wanted to get some toilet paper but there was none in the store.
  • I was going to make some bread but when I went to the grocery store to get yeast, none was left.
  • I needed some masks but the store had none.
