It was a true story I had never heard before. Between 1900 and 1907 a Bengal Tiger was found to have caused the deaths of 436 people in Northern India and Nepal.
The book starts off with the reason why it became a man-eater, then the horror of what went through the minds of the citizens of both countries, and the man called in to track and kill the Champawat Tiger.
Fascinating research by Dane Huckelbridge and great writing almost makes it feel like a novel...but folks, it's all TRUE!
