I enjoyed this story that takes the reader on the journey of Phillip Johnson and Jennifer Cartwright from their time in school, on to sweethearts, and then their lives after breaking up and reunited at a school reunion about twenty-five years later. Jen is impetuous and very self-centered as a young woman. Phil wants to build a life with her and wants to wait until marriage for sex, but that just doesnât work on her timetable. Going their separate ways, and their journey to meeting back up and what happens in their respective lives. The plot is this journey and road called life, where both realize the mistakes they made with each other and their relationship. But hindsight is always twenty-twenty, and sometimes you are given a second chance with your first love.

Story is light on the story line

Girl and boy go to school together. Boys falls in love but girl wants sex. When the boy explains he wants to save her virginity until her wedding night,girl gets mad finds someone else screws around on said boy behind his back. Boy finds out,has a broken heart. They both move on . Yrs later they get back together he quits his job tells h I s kids he is moving in with the girl Because he left for two wks to get his affairs in order girl finds another man who says on tv they are an item. Women screws him over twice. M an says he will never leave her side again because he can't trust the cheating/lying bitch they live happily ever after. Kind of dumb book

No Escape shows that even when we make choices and live through them there is still more to life our past. After Jennifer and Phillip move on from their mistakes in their youthful relationship they each move forward and live separate and completely different lives. While one finds love and the other finds money, they both still wonder what happened with each other. As they reconnect at their high school reunion, can they move forward and put mutual hurts as well as individual experiences behind them to find love? I loved Phillips strong alpha male personality and the way he stands by what he believes.
