Today we discussed how we often in life we can feel as though the rules don’t apply to us. Do you think that you should be the exception to the rule?

To pull from the homily itself, “Does your pride lead you to believe that you are awesome and thus the exception to the rule… how dare God ask you to carry a cross! Or does your pride lead you to believe you’re so awful… how could God ask you to carry a cross? Doesn’t he know?”

There is great joy to be had once we stop asking for exceptions and start accepting pardons.
