As a follower of Jesus, what should you expect? Suffering, or protection from it?

Before you answer that, read Psalm 91. The picture it paints of the life of faith is rosier than most of us (not to mention Job, Joseph, Paul and Jesus) have experienced.

So if Psalm 91 cannot be used as an insurance policy against pain, what good is there in it for us? We’ll find out this Sunday as we struggle to believe the promises of God despite the trials of life.
