Part 23 and the conclusion to the series, "Belonging to Him". It may seem very odd to imagine that we're called to have a "divine romance" with God. But the marriage relationship and the oneness and intimacy we can have with God have many parallels. In fact, the perfection of Eden in Genesis and the perfection that awaits us in the New Jerusalem of Revelation are also linked closely with the idea of marriage and romance. In this time in-between, Jesus serves as our mediator, one who calls us to healing and restoration in our "marriage" with God. And Jesus serves as our "suitor": the bridegroom who has sacrificed himself for the sake of love and eternal intimacy. There's no greater romance than that.
