Eskom's former chief executive officer, Matshela Koko has assured Zimbabwe that there will be no loadshedding in the country for the next 12 months. The cash-strapped neighbour, Zimbabwe, which is experiencing a major power crisis, introduced rolling electricity power cuts due to low water levels at the Kariba hydro-power station, as well as the country's crumbling power infrastructure. Matshela Energy, which is fronted by engineer Koko Matshela, will invest millions into a solar power plant in Gwanda, to help curb the rolling blackouts in Zimbabwe.
