I have jumped off the boat and restarted my podcast after a two and half year rest. So in these first episodes, I am sharing my heart reflections of what has happened in my life. In this new season, I am going raw and real. Authentic and no script or editing. So thanks for your grace as you hear my mess ups. But "perfection is the enemy of progress" according to Winston Churchill. So season 2 of my Small Beginnings with Sara has launched. 

In this episode 1 I share about my 2021 year. It was a year of crying. A year of reflecting. A year of finding places of thanksgiving. A year of small beginnings as a widow. A year of loss and more grieving as my dear friend, Ann (episode 7 of Season 1) and creative mentor loss excutive functioning due to massive strokes. A year to count my blessings and to continue to be brave and courageous with each new day. Will you join me on this journey?

I wrote three books in 2021. Two about my grief journey-Reflecting on Grief and Moving Beyond Pain: Living with Loss and Discovering New Meaning and a Companion Reflection Journal with 100 scriptures to anchor your thoughts on as you grieve and reflect.  My first children's book was released in 2021, How Good Can God Be?. I am very proud of this book as it tells the story of my dad and me as I grew up on Texas ranch. The relationship between father and child is a prototype of our relationship with God as His children. Thanks for joining me on this journey of so many more small beginnings with God. I often reflect on the idea that i only thought there would be one small beginning and that was me becoming an artist.
