Renewed Strength

No More Work

Ep. 13:

In our lives as humans, in order to maintain our health, we will have to maintain a healthy life by continuously doing things that promote good physical and nutritional health. You'll never be able to stop living healthy and still maintain good health and wellness. We will have to maintain until the day we die. It can be exhausting and challenging, but we do it because we know the results are worth it. However, when it comes to salvation, the story is quite different.

Unlike our fitness journey where we have to put in the work, salvation is a gift freely given to us by grace. That doesn't mean we don't need to continue to live a life of worship to God, but we don't need to do anything more to be saved. In John 19:30, it is written that Jesus declared, "It is finished." These powerful words signify the completion of Christ's work on the cross, where He took upon Himself the burden of our sins and paved the way for our salvation. This profound act of love demonstrates that we don't need to work continually to earn God's love or strive to be saved. It is through faith in Jesus and His finished work that we find true redemption and grace. As we engage in our fitness routines, it's essential to remember that the work of salvation has already been completed for us. Just as we trust in the finished work of our Savior for our spiritual well-being, let us find peace in knowing that we are already loved and saved by His grace. We don't need to strive for perfection or earn our place in the kingdom. Instead, we can trust in the grace of a loving God who offers us salvation as a free gift. So, as we continue on our fitness journey, let's remember that while physical fitness requires effort and work, our salvation is a beautiful reminder that we are already enough in the eyes of our Creator.
