Do you know what the gospel is and what it isn't? Or do you just know pieces of it? The Apostle Paul warned the Galatians that there is no other gospel; that there's only one. He even went as far as to say that if an angel came down from heaven with a different gospel he should be accursed! So, it's pretty important that we know the true gospel, don't you think? That's what this series seeks to do -- help you understand the one gospel that Galatians 1 talks about. In Week 5, Pastor Jake talks more about the second response of God to the belittlement of His name and the stealing of His glory by mankind. The first was hell. The second is not heaven. The second response of God is the wrath-absorbing cross of Christ. But the Scriptures don't stop with Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Something else occurred that changed everything -- the Resurrection. It's in the resurrection that we find our justification (right standing) before God.
