It does not take long before the early church sees opposition arising. But far from being fearful, Peter seizes the opportunity to state even more clearly that there is no other way and no other name for salvation and no other authority but Jesus Christ. He leaves the Sanhedrin Council speechless as they have to acknowledge that despite them being ordinary men -they had been with Jesus- which was the source of their wisdom and power.
