Helping people search for truth may be best done when we approach it four different ways:
1. Humbly
2. Practically
3. Rationally
4. Incarnationally
1 Corinthians 13:2
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
John 8:31-32
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
We make truth practical by telling stories of practical faith and by teaching how to actually do life with God.
Acts 17:16-17
Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols. So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there.
1 Thessalonians 1:5
because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
Big Idea:
Let us be people where the truth of Christ can not only be heard in word, but experienced by the world around you.
This is who God is calling Hope Church to be. Jesus with skin on.
