to grant you invitations
to the warmth of my arms
to the bliss of your charms...
There is no holiday
Nothing joyously cliché
Like a “New Lovers Day.”
that would allow me to say
“Would you please be mine?
where you’d lovingly stay
through all proper and improper
occasions by just my persuasions.
But you would be my Kissed Miss
at Christmas and my most grateful
reasons for living at Thanksgiving
you would be my sweetest treat
at Halloween and my favorite chick
come Easter…and your love
would be my favorite jellybean…
Our love would Spring
and never Fall
through any winters of doubt
and Summers would softly call
out whispers of our passions
in a most heated fashion.
Mother’s day would always
be a possibility
for we both cherish children
and Father’s day would make me one
forever to our daughters and our sons.
While each New Year
would bring great cheer
knowing you are always near
sharing love that’s so sincere
leaving time meaningless
yet still we would celebrate..
Times three hundred and fifty-two days
that I was blessed with you.
But you are that girl
that I have not yet met
bringing the kind of love
that I can’t forget
and I am still a lonely dreamer
with no proper occasion
to grant you invitations
to the warmth of my arms
to the bliss of your charms
"but a man can dream…can’t he?"
And I know someday you will be
the crux of all my yet to come
proper and improper occasions
sharing your love tenderly
and I’m waiting for you Eagerly………..
