As we end yet another Christmas holiday season. I was conflicted on what topic to choose for this episode. Because as I spent time with my loved ones, I kind of thought about you…the audience. I wondered to myself, “how many people out there are as fortunate to be able to spend times like these surrounded by people they love and by people that love them?". It made me scrap the topics that I WANTED to use and maybe talk a bit about that. Statistics say that this time of year is high for depression, suicides and personal misery and feelings of hopelessness. In fact I was reading from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center that read that some believe that the “holiday cheer amplifies loneliness and hopelessness in people who have lost loved ones, or who have high expectations of renewed happiness during the holiday season, only to be disappointed”.
