The question of modern manhood has been a focus of many cultural conversations as of late. While most of those conversations have focused on who gets to identify as a man or with manhood, very few of those conversations have taken the time to define clear goals and responsibilities that come along with manhood
.
We find ourselves in a space where many are struggling with their manhood and what that means. We are a generation attempting to be what we have not always seen...or rather, what might have been showed to us as examples of what effective manhood is
.
We are flooded with ideals and imagery of hyper-masculinity and surface-level identity, which (more often than not) leads to immaturity and not fully developed manhood
.
I implore you to engage with this episode, whether you agree or disagree. Let's challenge each other to really define this thing and grow so that we can fully service the different communities that we are in that look to us to fulfill the calling and responsibilities that come with manhood.
