I know I talk a lot about the Birkie this time of year, but I promise that it's for a good reason. The Birkie makes it feel like our small towns in the northwoods are playing host to the Olympics. This year looked different obviously due to the lack of snow, but thanks to innovative minds and the hard work of many people involved from bus drivers to volunteers to The Nimrods that organize the Giant Ski; they pulled it off.
