Like rocks in a swift stream, we should be rounded, smoothed, and polished by continual friction with our brethren. As the current plays over the rocks and initiates their tumbling, so the Holy Spirit can flow over a believer's soul, moving him in the painful, beautiful sanctification process. Three blockades currently limit this maturation process for many Christians and churches: individualization/isolation, hyper-sensitivity, and groupthink.
