Loved the book!

I bought several copies of this book. I wanted one for my house and had several sent to my grandchildren. I read the book as soon as I received it. I loved it. I fell in love with Henrietta Harriet. I can't wait to add this book to story time for the grandchildren. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

No time for tangles

There are times in our lives when something or someone just unexpectedly pops in and makes it better than it was before - Webster calls this serendipity. I call her Karen. I'm not sure how or why she would even want to contact me but out of the blue I get a message from her introducing herself saying that we have some common friends on Facebook. That was just the beginning. The more we talked, the more our paths seem to have crossed back and forth.

When I found out Karen (Cover - Kwarcinski) was an artist and writer I asked about her writing and she said she had written a children's book and offered to send it to me. I received it just in time to share with my little girls that were coming over for a play date today.

So with a lap full of little ladies we began to read about how Henrietta Harriet has No Time For Tangles. I guess we've all been there, trying to get a brush through our tangled mess of hair, but can you imagine what a head full of curls would look like or smell like if left unattended for long?

Henrietta 's mom gives in to Henrietta's screams demanding No More Brushing. But Henrietta soon learns that the tangles sneak in and multiply and by the time she is fed up with her own stench and the itching in her hair she really has a mess and it takes mom hours to get her hair clean and the tangles gone.

I would recommend No Time For Tangles as an opportunity to build character as you share this entertaining story with the children in your life.

In reading many childrenâs books over the years, there are few that carry the message that this author conveys in her books. I would definitely recommend this book as well as Karenâs newest book, No Time for Haircuts, which has just been released. The perfect books to read to your little ones, and excellent for Grandma Time.. Your time will be well spent,,

Read this one aloud!

This is one of the most charming books for children you'll ever find. Not only for any parent who has ever had problems getting their child to let them comb their hair, it's for anyone who wants to read a sweet story. The audio is also available, but best of all is to read it to a child yourself. Enjoy!
