Not my cup of tea.
This book started out promising but quickly went down hill. In the thousands of books I have read, I have never wanted to slap a heroine more than in this particular book. She was bitchy and defensive through-out the story. The characters internal monologues were not about how they were falling in love with the other person but how they weren't sure they trusted the other person or how they wanted the other person to back off and stop pushing. It was all angst and anger. I never felt the love.....EVER! Feelings appeared mediocre at best and the author seemed more concerned with how much the characters couldn't grasp the others personal interests (ex- Mardi Gras and zombie apocalypse) than in building the relationship to a level worthy of a romance novel.

What happens at Mardi Gras stays there. Jaime comes to town and sexy Colin appoints himself as her tour guide through the crazy city during Mardi Gras. Colin is a complete geek but all geeks are kind of sexy in there own way. After a quick hook up are they able to reconnect? Is it just a one time HOT time, which has nothing to do with the weather, or will they be able to find that spark again? 5 out of 5 stars.
It wasn't good, I expected more
I read 2 previous books from this author and LOVE them! Characters, story, everything; so I was really looking forward to this book. Very disappointing, the characters weren't that well developed, the hero was ok, the heroine not so much. The story didn't flow, lack of chemistry, spark between the main characters. Anyway, I didn't like it at all.
good read for the plane.
The author did and excellent job setting up the opening story,capturing my attention, and kept me rivetted to the pages. Good book. Good job Kim.
