If you hate politics, you're not wrong. If you've tried hard to keep up with the news and hate it more—you're even more right. 

Politics and the news about it seems designed to drive people away, like a terrible inside joke that wasn't funny to begin with. Since all of politics is who gets what, when & how, so being on the outside is a bad place to be.
