Is Christianity about becoming a better person or finding personal fulfillment? Not according to God. Scripture confronts us with the sobering truth that no one is righteous before a holy God. No one's efforts or supposed "goodness" can solve that problem. This is why we need Jesus: He suffered instead of sinners to give forgiveness and righteousness to everyone who trusts in Him. Christianity is not a call to self-improvement for good people. It’s a call to salvation for sinners.
